Beauty and plastic surgery trends come and go, but some are definitely stranger than others. So far, 2017 has already seen some pretty weird fads. Without further ado, here are four of the most bizarre—and we definitely don’t suggest trying these at home.
Underboob
You’ve heard of cleavage, right? Well underboob is the exact opposite, and fashion trends are starting to show it off. In fact, plastic surgeons all over the country are seeing a rise in the number of requests for smaller, more natural-looking implants, and the underboob trend fits perfectly with that look.
One-Night Nose
In an attempt to find an alterative to a surgical nose job, some beauty vloggers in the Philippines suggest that you slide a couple of thin PVC pipes up your nostrils for an overnight nose lift without surgery. Please don’t do this.
Facial Tape
Not happy with sagging skin and wrinkles? Why not just pull your skin tight and tape it back?
Celebs like Lady Gaga, Kristen Bell and the Kardashians have openly admitted to using facial tape to get their flawless complexions and even to hold their boobs in place.
Not-So-Sexy Serums
If you’re searching for the next big thing in skincare, you might want to skip this trend. As it turns out, human foreskin is being used as an ingredient in some serums thanks to their content of human growth factor.
Not only is there conflicting evidence about the effectiveness of topically-applied human growth factor to stave off lines and wrinkles, but slathering foreskin on your face is just plain gross and, quite frankly, not worth the questionable benefits.
