Why You Shouldn’t Go to the Freaky Side of Facelifts

Facelifts

FaceliftsRemember when it used to be taboo to be weird? America has evolved into a much more tolerant country when it comes to those who go against the grain. These days, we don’t hide crazy. We put it on the porch and give it a cocktail. Some people go to great extremes to modify and distort their face and body, but here are some reasons you might want to consider a traditional, (dare we say) “vanilla,” facelift to look like a younger version of yourself.

The Freaky Side of Facial Modification

The Internet gives you 24-hour access to an instantaneous freak show, if you’re interested. Just start Googling things like, “weird body piercings” or “freaky body modification,” and brace yourself for what will populate your screen. You will see forked tongues, elf ears, lips and ears stretched to the size of saucers and sub dermal implants in the shape of stars, horns, and everything else under the sun.

It’s Okay to Be Vanilla

So, maybe your tastes are a little simpler. Does this make you boring? Absolutely not. Even if you don’t have a closet full of studded dog collars, nose rings and platform, pleather boots, you still deserve to feel confident and comfortable in the way you look.

A More Traditional Alternative

If you’re sick of seeing that kinda-familiar old person who stares back at you in the mirror each day, maybe it’s time to do something about it.

You should probably leave the freaky stuff to the 25 and under crowd, but a facelift can rejuvenate your appearance and leave you looking younger without looking overdone. You only live once, and you deserve to feel good about your appearance, no matter your age.
